Settlement Lazarevskoye
stretches 109 km along the Black Sea coast from the settlement Shepsi
to the settlement Mamayka. There is a chain of health resorts on
the territory of Lazarevskoye (Magri, Makopse, Ashe, Lazarevskoye,
Golovika, Chemitokwadzhe, Loo, Dagomys, Uchdere etc.) Lazarevskoe

Mountain
landscape with rocky gorges, numerous mountain streams, blossoming
valleys and bright southern vegetation are very pictoresque. Besides
deciduous trees traditional for all the Northern Caucasus you can
find here subtropical vegetation and different kinds of palm-trees.
The most northern in the world kinds of tea are cultivated in local
farms.
Climate of this
area is subtropical with warm summer and mild winter. North-eastern
winds from the Goyth mountain pass are reducing the air humidity
on the North of the area. But the vicinity of the Lazarevskoye settlement
is not affected by those winds and the humidity isreducing southward.
Settlement Lazarevskoye
is administrative and cultural center of the Lazarevskiy district
of the Sochi with the population of about 30 thousand people.
Lazarevskoye is named after the famous Russian Admiral Mikhail Lazarev,
participant of three round-the-world voyages, one of the Antarctics
discoverers. He was a Commander of the Russian Black Sea Navy during
the Caucasus War and under his leadership Russian Marines did found
chain of forts on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus. One of these
forts was Psezuapee. About one hundred years later, in 1940, this
place was renamed to Lazarevskoye.
Today Lazarevskoye settlement is a small cosy part of
the Sochi health resort. It is a beginning of the subtropical climate
zone. Due to influence of the Black Sea and high Caucasus mountains
summer season here is very long and practically there is no winter
(rarely temperatures is less than +5 C in winter). Lot of exotic
plants are available here because of good climate conditions: palm
trees even in December, magnificent roses. All those reasons and
also the unique Black sea attract a lot of tourist to visit this

Golovinka.
Located 55 km from
Sochi, southward of the Lazarevskoye in the forest massive of deciduous,
coniferous and subtropical trees on the left bank of the Shahe river
at the position of the existing there in the XIX century military
Glovin settlement.
Dagomys
Located
18 km northern from Sochi in pictoresque valley near confluence
of two mountain streams – Eastern and Western Dagomys. You can see
beautiful forests and tea plantations on the sides of mountains
rounding the valley from three sides.
Loo
Is a settlement which
is situated southern from Golovinka by Suhumi road. 30 km northern
from Sochi. It's located on the Black Sea coast. Comfortable beach
of small pebble is 30-60 m wide.
Uchdere
Located 12 km far from
the railway station or 28 km from Sochi. Uchdere (three gorges)
is situated rather high above the sea level. Its territory is covered
by forests and gardens with decorative sub-tropical trees and plants.
Sovetkwagzhe
This Resort area is
situated 4 km southern than Makopse. It's covered by ravines and
valleys, has passable mountain hills and plato. A lot of forests.
Good beach of small pebble 6-15 m wide.
Ashe
This Resort area of Lazarevskiy district is located 5-6 km by the
Black Sea coast and the Makopse and Ashe
mountain streams. Due to its pictoresque, diversity of vegetation,
perfect climate conditions it is a best place of the Magri-Ashe
climate resort area. Good beach of small pebble about 10-15 m wide
Settlement Magri
Located on the Black Sea coast 21 km souther of Tuapse on a high
mountain terrasse. The hight and location of mountains are changing
the force and direction of the cold winds blowing towards Tuapse.
North-eastern winds in the Magri-Ashe area are rather rare, but
reducing humidity and sultriness during the summer season together
with the coastal breezes
