Adler district is unique one. It is green all year round. Therefore the Black Sea coast is well known as a land of permanent spring. It is due to the mountains that protect this place from the cold Northern winds, and the sea which is warming up the winter. The scientists are declaring that due to the choice of nature and climate conditions Adler region should be in the first ten of the best places on our planet. If you start going up to the mountains you will see all the climate belts of the Earth.he territory of Adler district stretches from subtropical coast of the Black Sea till the eternal snows of the Main Caucasus mountain ridge. History of this area is also rich. According to the archeological research, first human settlements appeared here about 350 thousand years ago. The most famous cave settlement, aged 40-50 thousand years is in Ahshtyr. It is located 15 km from Adler. Bones of the ancient cave bear, giant deer, noble deer and other ancient animals were found here.
There is a big number of archeological and architectual memorials around Adler. For instance several dolmens were found in the mountains by Krasnaya Polyana.
There was a war between Russia and Turkey for this place in the XIX century. 07th of June,1937 Russian Marines landed on the Cape Adler. One of famous Russian poets Captain of Lancer Regiment Alexander Bestuzev-Marlinskiy took part in this operation. This battle was the las one t for him. There is a square in the center of Adler named after him. The monument to Bestuzev-Marlinskiy was built in 1957.
You can find many historical and natural memorials in Adler. On the bank of Mzimta river you can see a unique park “Yuzhnie Culturi” created hundred years ago by Arnold Riegel. Thousand of plants from all parts of the world were collected there. But unfortunately the park was damaged twice by tornados. At the moment park is closed for reconstruction.
Thrre're many things to be told about Adler, but better to come and to see this place.

Hosta

Hosta is an ancient town. You can seethe rests of old castles, temples and forts. Hosta regionstretches from Vereshchginka river in the north to Kudepsta river in the south, fourteen kilometers along the Black Sea coast. On the west it is bordering with Svetlana area of the central Sochi – one of most beautiful places. There is a cork oak plantation in Hosta suburbs.
Average temperature is about 1 degree C higher than in central Sochi, but humidity is lower here. Sochi National Park is located here. About thirty comfortable sanatoriums rounded by green trees are waiting for you. Balneological resorts, sulphate and iodine mineral water springs in Kudepsta, branch of Kurortological and Physiotherapeutic Institute are researching possibility to use Macesta mineral waters as medicines.
